In 2012 Neil Price, who is probably the greatest living expert on Viking Mythology, delivered a series of 3 lectures focusing on the fundamental role that narrative, storytelling and dramatisation played in the mindset of the Viking Age.
Each of these lectures, which were given at Cornell University, last about 1 hour and twenty minutes, including questions at the end of each lectures. Together, they represent an excellent introduction to Viking pagan religion.
• Lecture 1 – The Children of Ash: Cosmology and the Viking Universe
• Lecture 2 – Life and Afterlife: Dealing with the Dead in the Viking Age
• Lecture 3 – The Shape of the Soul: The Viking Mind and the Individual
